Americans Are Hurting

Back in March, a whole bunch of people were told to stay home, and many lost their jobs.

‘We can get through this together’ was the rallying cry.

Problem being, the government bailed.

I have read a bunch of stories about men and women being arrested for stealing food.

Food lines are stretched for miles and miles.

And in the most amazing of all things, people who have a tiny bit of money are looking down upon those who can’t pay their bills or keep their lights on.

There have been two “care” packages from the government.

A lot of the money in those bills...

...has gone to people who don’t need it.

Rich people scooped it up.

Employers who laid off their employees room a chunk.

Churches.

Airlines.

Very little went to the people who need it to survive.

And $600?

A bag of groceries - one bag - runs about $50 at the cheapest of all stores.

Prices are higher.

And the mail has been slowed to a crawl!!

A letter that I mailed on December 8th to pay a bill still has not been received and entered.

“We know it was post-marked,” the company rep said. “It just hasn’t been entered.”

“What would you like me to do?”

“You can pay the bill over the phone.”

“And then when it’s entered, what happens?”

“Well, we’ve been short-staffed,” the woman said.

“Don’t call me again.”

So, the bad news keeps coming...

...and Americans are hurting bad.

Stealing groceries?

Waiting on bread lines?

But hey, the stock markets are humming!
