Landis Sims - New York Yankee

It's not breaking news that the Yankees are trying to get younger.

Yesterday the 27-Time World Champion Greatest Franchise in the History of Organized Sports signed 10-year-old Landis Sims to a contract.

There's Landis.

He was born without hands or lower legs, but the Yankees signed him and assigned him a locker at George M. Steinbrenner Field.

Landis' locker was between pitchers C.C. Sabathia and Delin Betances.

Landis also participated in team drills and all the Yankees made Landis feel right at home.

There is so much garbage in the world.

Even in the sports world all we ever hear about is the star athlete punching a cop, or driving loaded, or clubbing his girlfriend.

Leave it to the Yankees to rise above.

I can imagine the fun Landis had stretching on the field with professional athletes.

I know that they made him feel right at home.

Landis wore a Tanaka jersey on the field.

He played catch.

He stretched with A-Rod.

A signed contract.

Congrats to Landis...

...and to the Yankees.
