Shaking My Damn Head

So, the once a week Trump Update.

Been a fun week, huh?

There have been moments, during this eternally long mess, when I’ve been surprised by the depths at to which he’ll sink.

Making fun of the disabled reporter should’ve ended it.

The Access Hollywood tape REALLY should’ve ended it.

Both were shrugged off rather easily.

Claiming his opponent should be handled by those who like the 2nd amendment was borderline criminal.

Yet, those who defend him were too busy yelling, “Lock Her Up” to hear it.

And somehow, someway...

Clinton was cast aside.

Yet he found new enemies.

The media.

The FBI.

Everyone in both organizations is crooked.

He hugged Comey after being elected...

...then fired him.

Promoted McCabe...

...blasted Sessions, who recused himself.

Well, last night, Sessions (who lied, lied and lied some more during congressional hearings) fired McCabe (who’d already resigned) for lying.

Sessions is recused!

McCabe was promoted by Trump!

Trump picked Rosenstein and Wray...

...and hates them both!!

Because they’re getting too close (through Mueller) to figuring out that Trump is owned by the Russian Mob.

And when I saw the tweets about McCabe being fired so he can’t collect his pension (after 21 years of service)...

...I gasped.

And then shook my damn head.

Every once in awhile I remind myself, during the course of a routine day, that our government is under Russian control.

And I wonder about those who voted for him...

...and sadly, those who are still defending him, and you know what I do?

Yeah.

Shake my damn head.

This has to end peacefully and without a shadow of a doubt because our very existence depends on it.

I believe America will still be viable until I’m gone.

I hope so, anyway.

But I’m worried for my kids.

Putin is quoted as saying that he could take America apart in a half an hour. He uses nerve agent on his opponents.

Want to shake your own damn head?

Realize that there is a portion of our population that, because of Trump, is rooting for Putin over America’s law enforcement agencies.

SMDH.

(And I didn’t even mention the porn stars or piss tapes or the religious folk who still call him a Man of Faith).

My Buddy, Dave

Way back in 1997, I started working with a steel erection company out of Syracuse. I was coming straight from a long stint with a steel erector here in Buffalo so I knew my stuff when it came to steel erection safety rules. On day one, I met with the safety director and he was just getting started as a safety guy, but man, he certainly cared about the guys he worked with. Dave was a good man from the start. He’d say things like: “You’re so full of beans.” Just a down to earth, hardworking guy who became a fast friend. We drove all around New York State setting up jobs. I always let Dave drive so that I could rest. Mom & Ollie

 Ollie Stadium is a mess. The heavy rains rendered the backyard a mud pit and even though we threw in the side yard, the Big O was looking for more, and we were both covered in mud. I had to take some steam out of him somehow so I suggested we go visit Grandma. Ollie hates the car, but he laid quietly as we made the trip. We even brought the football because there is plenty of room to play at Grandma’s. Mom opened the door and started laughing. I thought about the love she had for every single dog we ever had. Oliver was quick to give my Mom a kiss, and then he stood beside her. The love between Mom and Dogs is a mutual bond. Through the years, Mom would make breakfast for the dogs.  Fried eggs, toast, bacon… She would wrap Christmas gifts for them. “To Jeter, Love Santa,” she would write on the cards. They played with the big chicken that made a lot of noise. Mom tossed the football and Ollie brought it back to her. As the visit drew to a close I headed for the door.  “C’mon, Oliver,”
