Sunday that’s my fun day. My I don’t have to run day.
Used to be.
Yesterday was a little rough as the realization settled upon me.
Still no week to plan. In fact, I’m pretty much grounded for the upcoming week based on the garbage way I felt this past week.
“You have to follow the CDC guidelines unless you can get a test that shows you don’t have it.”
That’s the shame of this. I’m not getting a test. There are sick people who need the tests. We’re a long way from testing people quickly.
And, of course, we shouldn’t be. The lead up to this is absolutely disheartening. Every single ball that was in the air was dropped.
And it goes back a long, long time.
We just didn’t properly prepare.
I saw that the surgeon general had posted a poem...
...Roses are red, violets are blue, the Coronavirus isn’t as bad as the flu.”
He posted that in February after all of the sad projections were known to our leaders.
There was a coordinated effort to downplay it all...
...stocks were sold...
...an entire network - including Dr. Drew and Dr. Oz called it a joke. All of the hosts. Just pedaled garbage and sold it as news.
That needs to end.
Talking heads spewing nonsense that is accepted as the gospel truth. Of course, they had their head cheerleader showing zero concern.
And here we are.
Afraid of what’s to come.
It’s made me angry because this is where the general failing has contributed to the damage. Spreading false information to a gullible audience is costing lives.
I read an overview of a retirement community in Tampa. Residents were gathering for dancing and sitting by the pool. All were parroting what they heard from those anchors and those “doctors”.
That should enrage everyone!
And the disinformation continues:
“Obama left the cupboards bare,” Trump said at the press briefing on Saturday.
“If the cupboards were left bare,” a reporter asked. “How come they weren’t refilled in the 3 and a half years since?”
“We did,” Trump said. “We refilled the cupboards many, many times.”
So...
...I might be a tad slow here but if you refilled the cupboard many, many times why the hell does it matter that they were empty four years ago?
But no one asks the follow-up!!
And now hundreds and thousands and millions are saying what he said:
“Obama left the cupboard bare.”
That’s the headline, and it’s garbage.
The truth of the matter was that the legs were cut out of the pandemic preparation unit.
And here we sit...
...wondering...
...who’ll be the last to die for a mistake?
