To Impeach Or Not?
I’m afraid that this will be the question that dominates the news for the next few weeks.
Will the house democrats vote to impeach or will they just ignore it and try and put their energies into the 2020 election?
It’s an odd situation.
There was no hesitation after the Starr report. Clinton was seemingly impeached for far less.
By all accounts, this will be something that dogs this administration for however much longer they are in control and there are 14 other ongoing investigations so...
...the chance that there will be any work done is remote at best.
The Easter tweets were abysmal.
“18 Angry Democrats”.
“There’s nothing wrong with getting information from Russia.”
Anything to put a positive spin on a very negative report.
From this vantage point there’s a real thought that perhaps they should just let it ride. The report speaks for itself. We all saw what was going on. There was absolute obstruction in plain view.
But here’s the thing:
“You have to stand for something or you’ll fall for anything.”
We have laws.
They’re for everyone.
No one should be above the law, and congress has a very specific job to do.
So, impeach him.
There isn’t any sense in trying to keep peace because there’s no way that the gap will be bridged. There’s simply too much of a divide.
The subpoenas are going to fly.
The SDNY is going to rip through the taxes, money laundering and foundation finances.
It’s hard to imagine that those investigators will be greeted with open arms.
We’ll hear about the deep state, Clinton’s emails and any other possible smokescreen.
So, the hell with it.
Impeach.
Or we will be destined to repeat it all again.
And we can’t afford that.
