2020 & Renaldo Day!

Man, what a year.

In baseball the deaths have come one by one:

Joe Morgan, Tom Seaver, Lou Brock, Whitey Ford, Jay Johnstone, Al Kaline

Like a roll call of an All-Star Game.

We already spoke of the rock and rollers:

Ric Ocasek, Eddie Money, Eddie Van Halen.

I can’t even remember all of them.

It seems like every few days.

And there are people walking around saying:

“Well, it’s 2020,” as a way of explaining all of this chaos.

The year has appeared to be about a decade long already.

How you making out?

I’m thinking by that just surviving the year will make it an epic success.

I’ve truly been lost in a fog of confusion the last week or so.

I’m seeing crowds of people at the rallies.

Trump is asking if there are any other COVID-19 survivors out there.

Their new plan appears to be to make sure everyone gets it.

“Hope we all get it,” one rally guy said. “So we can be done with it.”

That won’t work out very well for about a half a million people in 2020.

A thousand deaths a day with no end in sight doesn’t sound like much of a plan.

Especially when 2020 seems to be taking all the all-star baseball players and all of the best from rock and roll.

Okay...

...let’s get back to a little normalcy!

Let’s speak of life!

Today is my buddy Jeff Renaldo’s birthday.

Earlier this week he celebrated his 35th wedding anniversary with his beautiful bride, Kathy.

I distinctly recall the night before his wedding more than any other thing about his wedding day.

Jeff was nervous.

Wondered if it was going to all work out.

I never had a doubt.

We were so young, but he was ready for life.

Not sure he thought that a year like 2020 would ever happen...

...but we’ll get through that too.

Happy Birthday, πŸŽˆπŸŽ‚πŸŽ‰πŸŽŠ Brother.
