Things that Aren’t True

It’s amazing, but a trip through Twitter or any other social media site will result in some crazy stories.

Things that just aren’t true.

What’s worse is that eventually you’ll hear those crazy things out in the real world. It made me think about a whole bunch of things that need to be debunked.

1). Michelle Obama is not a man.

It’s truly incredible but this one is all over the place. The vicious, idiotic people who spread this one are so amused in calling her ‘Mike.’

So dumb.

2). A president is not allowed to ignore laws, the Supreme Court and the constitution.

This one is scary because there’s a whole bunch of people - even ones who’ve studied American History - who are now claiming that a president can do anything he wants and never face charges, or be found guilty.

If these idiots who are misrepresenting have their way - the democracy will be over. They know that. 

Starting to think that’s the idea.

3). Comforting your grandson at his father’s funeral is not pedophilia. There’s a photo of Joe Biden kissing the top of his grandson’s head at Joe’s son’s funeral. This has been passed all around as evidence that Biden likes little boys.

There’s not a grandpa in the world who hasn’t kissed his grandson. 

Shit is whack, man.

4). Taylor Swift is not working for the government in an effort to get a specific candidate elected and her 25 seconds on camera each game are not taking away from the sport.

Colin Cowherd of all people had an amazingly succinct rebuttal for all those who are ‘so sick’ of seeing Taylor. It’s 25 seconds in a 4-hour telecast.

Live with it.

5). Illegal immigrants aren’t voting.

Funny fact for you. 

The last 3 presidents have all deported illegals from our country. Obama deported the most. Biden is on track to finish second. Take a wild guess who deported the least amount of people.

It’s easily researched.

Illegal immigrants cannot get bank loans. 

They don’t vote. 

Democrats are not allowing them to ‘pour in’ so they get votes in upcoming elections.

6). Democrats want open borders.

While we are on the subject we may as well debunk this one. See note above regarding deportations. 

Also, check who has tried their best to send legislation through to work on the border issue.

The potential deal was dead on arrival in the Republican controlled house.

7). Here’s two for you:

A). Shitler does not resemble Elvis.

Yeah. 

On Truth Social the former dude told his cult followers that a lot of people, all through his life, have told him that he looks like Elvis Presley.

That’s never happened.

Then he posted a photo - half his face - half Elvis and asked:

“What do you think?”

Still f**k no.

Maybe now, I guess. 46 years after Elvis’ death.

B). The nation wasn’t in incredible, amazing, wonderful shape during the years 2016 and 2020.

Jobs weren’t pouring back in.

There were bodies stacked in freezers.

It wasn’t the greatest economy in the history of the world.

In fact, it kinda’ sucked.

So, there you go.

Some truths for you.

Not that it matters…

…our biggest problem, now and moving forward, is deciphering what is and isn’t factual.

You can trust this information.

My Buddy, Dave

Way back in 1997, I started working with a steel erection company out of Syracuse. I was coming straight from a long stint with a steel erector here in Buffalo so I knew my stuff when it came to steel erection safety rules. On day one, I met with the safety director and he was just getting started as a safety guy, but man, he certainly cared about the guys he worked with. Dave was a good man from the start. Mom & Ollie

 Ollie Stadium is a mess. The heavy rains rendered the backyard a mud pit and even though we threw in the side yard, the Big O was looking for more, and we were both covered in mud. I had to take some steam out of him somehow so I suggested we go visit Grandma. Ollie hates the car, but he laid quietly as we made the trip. We even brought the football because there is plenty of room to play at Grandma’s. Mom opened the door and started laughing. I thought about the love she had for every single dog we ever had. Oliver was quick to give my Mom a kiss, and then he stood beside her. The love between Mom and Dogs is a mutual bond. Through the years, Mom would make breakfast for the dogs.  Fried eggs, toast, bacon… She would wrap Christmas gifts for them. “To Jeter, Love Santa,” she would write on the cards.
