D.B. of the Week - Aaron Kromer

All right.

You probably don't know who Aaron Kromer is.

But you will soon.

Not only has Kromer won the coveted D.B. of the Week Award he will or should soon be looking for a job!

Kromer is currently the Offensive Line Coach for YOUR Buffalo Bills.

Problem is...he may not be the coach of that O-line before the week ends.

You see, Kromer had a bit of a problem while on vacation in Florida last week.

The details are a little sketchy, but the story goes something like this:

Some teenage kids "borrowed" the Kromer family beach chairs down in Florida.

Aaron Kromer didn't like that.

He allegedly went on a bit of a rampage, tossing the kids fishing poles into the water and then (this is where the details get sketchy) he got into a fight with the kids.

Kromer pushed one of the kids.

Then Kromer punched one of the kids.

Then Kromer told the kids that if they called the police he'd 'kill their family.'

That is D.B. of the Week behavior every single week.

Listen, I'm not a saint.

Last week I told a story about the neighbor aggravating me as he picked on my kids a bit, but I do know a little bit about doing one thing...

...walking away!

Especially when the fight is about borrowed beach chairs.

Especially if I were to work for the National Football League where you can be suspended for 4 games for maybe, probably having some general knowledge about air being let out of a ball. (But only get 2 or 4 games for decking your fiance or girlfriend).

Kromer should know better.

He's just starting a brand new job!

He pops a kid in the face?

Over a beach chair?

That's just dopey behavior.

And now suppose the Buffalo Bills don't fire him?????

That might be a whole 'nother blog post, don't you think?

My Buddy, Dave

Way back in 1997, I started working with a steel erection company out of Syracuse. I was coming straight from a long stint with a steel erector here in Buffalo so I knew my stuff when it came to steel erection safety rules. On day one, I met with the safety director and he was just getting started as a safety guy, but man, he certainly cared about the guys he worked with. Dave was a good man from the start. He’d say things like: “You’re so full of beans.” Just a down to earth, hardworking guy who became a fast friend. We drove all around New York State setting up jobs. Mom & Ollie

 Ollie Stadium is a mess. The heavy rains rendered the backyard a mud pit and even though we threw in the side yard, the Big O was looking for more, and we were both covered in mud. I had to take some steam out of him somehow so I suggested we go visit Grandma. Ollie hates the car, but he laid quietly as we made the trip. We even brought the football because there is plenty of room to play at Grandma’s. Mom opened the door and started laughing. I thought about the love she had for every single dog we ever had. Oliver was quick to give my Mom a kiss, and then he stood beside her. The love between Mom and Dogs is a mutual bond. Through the years, Mom would make breakfast for the dogs.  Fried eggs, toast, bacon… She would wrap Christmas gifts for them. “To Jeter, Love Santa,” she would write on the cards. They played with the big chicken that made a lot of noise. Mom tossed the football and Ollie brought it back to her. As the visit drew to a close I headed for the door.  “C’mon, Oliver,”
