The Week

Did you happen to see the video making rounds of the 82-year-old man cutting the tires of an 88-year-old woman because she was sitting in his seat in the local Bingo Hall?

The guy wasn't exactly a great criminal.

He was captured on video - Strike 1.

He left footprints in the garden around the woman's car - Strike 2.

He also rested his full palm on the woman's car as he braced himself to bend down and slit the tires - Strike 3.

Yet...I kind of laughed.

Why is it that elderly folks causing trouble like that are kinda' cute?

The guy is in trouble, of course, but I'm wondering if the woman will take the seat again.

We are living in a weird society.

The weather has sucked again the last few days.

I've been mentioning to people that we are only about 50 days away from the possibility of snow flying and while that is certainly an exaggeration...

...it hasn't been a whole lot of fun.

It was 45 degrees on Monday morning.

Throw in the gray and the rain.

Ah, crap.

There's a whole lot of heartbreak around Buffalo here this week.

A mother with two children in a stroller was in Delaware Park. A car jumped the curb and killed one of the kids and badly injured the other.

To even read the recap in the newspaper was absolutely heartbreaking.

I couldn't even finish it.

The speed limit was instantly changed in the area.

The political leaders were all discussing the fact that it never should have been set at 55 mph if here weren't any guardrails up.

None of that matters right now.

It's hard to make peace with that happening.
