Now We Wait
It appears that espionage is now going to be declared legal in some corners as there is a mad scramble to figure out what to do when a former president appears to have severely broken the law.
What we know:
Highly classified materials were removed from the White House.
The DOJ padlocked the room where they were being stored as they tried to reason with the guy who stole them to return them.
Surveillance showed that the boxes were removed from the area in between so a search warrant was legally served to go get stuff back.
What we don’t know:
Who saw that classified material.
Doesn’t matter, really.
The laws were broken and the materials found were highly classified.
That should be enough for an arrest.
So we wait, and listen to people who can’t admit that they were duped by a master con man, try their best to come up with some sort of excuse.
One senator came out and mentioned that the espionage laws are stupid and should be repealed.
Just insane.
About 20 people stood outside in Florida to protest the FBI and the DOJ. They held their signs with half the words spelled wrong, and threatened violence.
Still others went on-line and sent direct threats to the FBI - you have to be really bright to do something like that, right?
And we wait.
For an arrest that should’ve happened about 50 years ago, but certainly should’ve happened this weekend…
…what a time to be alive, right?
I recall Nixon resigning and how relieved my parents seemed to be.
Make no mistake…
…if there is an arrest there will be some unrest…
…but there will also be wild celebrations.
All across the land.
