Training Season

One of the people in my training session last week was born in 2006.

My God!

Some of the stories that I was telling to make my points were older than the kid sitting there.

I had four sessions last week.

I have another one tomorrow.

It’s a little like doing a Broadway Show - the same lines, in the same place, over and over again.

Training season is also a bit of a pain because lunch is always brought in.

Pizza and wings is the boring, usual choice…

…but the one tomorrow will be a lot better.

That’s how bored I am with it some 33 years into this gig.

I know which client is serving what for lunch!

On the 21st I have a class in Canastota - which is three hours from here - they always serve pasta and the sauce is damn good.

But then I have the drive home!

So, January, February and March are a pain in the ass weather-wise and I have to listen to myself talk for hours and hours and hours.

I’m down to counting how many I have left.

Only four left.

I’ll be done by the time baseball season starts and the weather turns.

There’s one hard rule at each class as lunch is brought in and all the students know it:

I eat first.
