A Lot of Basketball 🏀

My boys all enjoy the NCAA tournament.

I do too, and since Kathy has had to deal with it for decades, she didn’t fight it.

She joined in.

“What games are on?” I asked on Sunday morning.

“Florida first, and then Duke and then Kentucky,” she said.

So, our day was set.

“Are you still watching?” The television asked, halfway through the Duke blow-out.

My bracket is kind of on life support - I didn’t blow too many, but the favorites have won so just being a few points off the lead felt insurmountable.

The texts were flying with the boys.

We all had a good laugh remembering that Matt had written a term paper entitled:

“Why Missouri will win the NCAA Tournament.”

They were a two-seed and were highly regarded. Matt broke down all the reasons why they simply could not lose.

He turned his paper in on Friday morning- the same day that the two-seeded Missouri team LOST to fifteen-seeded Norfolk.

“What an idiot!” We proclaimed all these years later.

It was a perfect weekend to lie back and watch hoops because my back was really barking.

Baseball opening day is Thursday!

We are within shouting distance of our first tee time.

Now it just has to get over 40 degrees!
