Pardoning the Turkeys
The goofiest story of the year - every year - took place.
President Biden pardoned 2 turkeys yesterday at a ceremony that probably cost a lot of money.
This year it seems truly weird because it certainly seems that all rules are out the window.
“My, my, my these are lawless times.”
Right under the turkey parson story was the story that Jack Smith dropped the case against the guy who started the insurrection.
Following that was a story about the new FCC guy saying that he’s going to target people who talk badly about the new administration.
Under that was the story about the incoming guy saying that he was not going to sign the ethics agreement that every other president has signed on the way into office.
Trying hard not to dwell on any of this, but it appears that we are no longer operating as a Democracy that is beholden to a constitution.
Elon Musk is putting out notice that governors will be arrested if they don’t follow the directives put forth by the Federal government.
That’s new, right?
What office was Musk elected to?
We are entering a brave new world where the rules no longer apply.
Those turkeys?
They didn’t need to be pardoned for their crimes…
…they could’ve just stacked the courts…
…faked an assassination attempt or two…
…or used a computer program to switch the votes in swing states.
If all else failed…
…they could have simply filed a hundred lawsuits meant to delay the inevitable past Thanksgiving.
Biden should’ve pardoned his son.
The hell with it…
…rules and laws are going beyond the wayside.
Everyone should be cleared.
Even the turkeys.
