A Whole Lot of Television

I’ve spent the better part of the last week just escaping the reality of what may be happening.

A lot of Rock & Roll.

Starting Five and Yellowstone.

Caught a couple of movies, including a Nic Cage flick. We have a saying around here:

“There’s no such thing as a bad Nic Cage movie.”

What I didn’t do?

Fret about the consequences of a truly misguided choice.

I didn’t pay much attention to the fact that the numbers don’t appear right.

I avoided even rumors about what might be enacted.

But herein lies the problem:

I have been engaged all my life to the future and I’ve been good about paying attention.

How do I stay in this protective bubble for about 1,500 days?

Will the bubble be popped???

I’ve had a bad feeling for about a decade now because I don’t trust Putin, and I’m afraid that he is now involved in my future.

Mouth shut.

Head down.

Nic Cage on my television screen.

Jagger, Springsteen, Mellencamp and Seger singing to me.

And a pit the size of a watermelon in my stomach.
