A Fact of Life

The latest mass shooting to be reported on was at Brown University.

“Thoughts and Prayers” has given way to:

“Stuff happens”.

Or:

“Shootings are a fact of life. We need to accept it and move on.”

Those above quotes are attributed to the president and the vice president.

Isn’t that sickening?

Nothing to be done.

Hold your breath and hope the next mass shooter isn’t in your neighborhood because, evidently, if you get gunned down…

…the rest of us will just accept it…

…and move on.

We can’t fix it.

We won’t fix healthcare.

Buy less food and toys if you’re hurting for cash because you aren’t wealthy and until you are you have to learn to live with less.

Since we have to just learn to accept it I have decided that I’m not going to get caught up in the coverage of any of the mass shootings.

We aren’t studying the men who do this to see if we can stop it.

The idea that lunatics shouldn’t have unfettered access to guns can’t even be discussed.

We definitely need to protect the rights of the gunman.

I don’t want to read about the victims because they don’t matter to anyone who can do something about it.

I don’t care to hear about people who were there, and believed they were going to die.

The media coverage doesn’t matter.

Nothing does.

Get over it.

Stuff happens.
