Charlie Sheen
One of our go-to shows for laughs is ‘Two and a Half Men’.
Even after all these years, it’s still funny, and Charlie Sheen was great as Charlie Harper.
Of course, Sheen was a huge star for decades and then he had a famous breakdown, that was certainly embarrassing.
There’s a documentary that goes through all the high and low moments of his life, and Sheen (8 years sober now) bares his soul.
By the way, I enjoy these trips down memory lane with the artists - the Billy Joel one is excellent - and I’m patiently waiting for the one that will go through Mick Jagger’s life.
As Sheen goes, he has a certain charm. I recall how I felt back when he was doing his Tiger Blood tour, and I remember feeling ashamed of the people who were making money off of him.
We certainly can’t fathom such a life. It’s not like our lives. I also considered what might have happened if during my 20’s I’d been paid millions of dollars and plopped me in the middle of Hollywood.
He was making movies, and was on the cover of all the magazines.
Beautiful women were available to him, and so was every other possible temptation.
That’s not reality.
At the end of the documentary, Sheen, much like Billy Joel spoke about what brought him back to the land of the living.
We all know what is truly important, and what makes our lives work.
It’s all about finding that sweet spot, and holding onto it.
Charlie Sheen is a year younger than me.
Seems like he may have his best years ahead of him.
I genuinely hope he keeps the train on the tracks.
