A Perfect Sunday

“If you could design the weather to play golf in, this would be it,” I said around hole 8.

70 degrees, light breeze, ball still bouncing down the fairway.

I missed some make able putts, but swung it well enough, and was happy with the round.

The Yankees were on television and it was a good game. An important game for playoff seeding and it was tied at one in the 10th when Ben Rice hit a grand slam.

Round of golf - check.

Yankees win - check.

Sausage made and in the freezer - check.

Played a half dozen games of football with Ollie - check.

I made the meatballs, cleaned out the cat box, took the garbage to the road, and did the laundry.

Working on a new story.

At about 7:30 last night, it dawned on me that the weekend was nearly complete, and that Sunday was pretty perfect….

…and that I was pretty tired!

I need a day of rest from the weekend, but no time to waste…

…here comes the week.
