What’s Everyone Watching?
This is the portion of the year where you can score big bragging points by finding a series worth watching. We have a competition of sorts going as finding a good series allows you to say:
“Hmmm, wonder who found this one,” as the show goes effortlessly into the next episode.
I came up with ‘Cross’ which was a good detective show that held our interest all the way through.
We are currently doing a few series that are nearing the season finales.
1). Shrinking - every episode has me saying the same thing:
“I can watch this show all day.”
Great characters, good acting, funny.
2). Landman - Billy Bob is great in everything. Seems that Taylor Sheridan has every hit series these days and Landman is the best of all of them.
It’s funny, it’s sad, Billy Bob’s wife and daughter are comic relief and fun to look at.
A whole lot of information about our dependency on oil is also spewed out. A dangerous work environment - and high drama.
Great show.
3). Yellowstone - Costner’s character was killed off and I’ve missed him - he was the one decent guy of all the characters. His daughter is hell on wheels. One of his sons is despicable.
But it’s a hard show to look away from because there’s a great battle between progress and those who live off the land.
Lots of dirty deeds.
A soap opera feel.
4). Tracker - we are probably watching this show because the good looking guy from ‘This Is Us’ is on it.
I didn’t pick this one.
It’s a show that has new characters with each episode, and the storyline changes. He could be tracking down someone in California one episode and Alabama the next.
He always wins.
He gets out of all the roughest of situations and in a gun battle he either ducks out of the way of a bullet, or it’s a through and through in the shoulder area.
His bullets are always true.
We have a few others.
We loved ‘Hacks’.
If there is just a half an hour to kill we go to the tried and true sit-coms of:
Modern Family
Two & A Half Men
Or
Everybody Loves Raymond.
It’s winter!
Cold and rainy or frozen and snowy.
There’s one other consistent thing…
…no matter the weather…
…Ollie has a football ready to go.
He somehow knows when the episode ends…
…and off we go!
