The High Road

Kaitlan Collins is a very good reporter, and someone I’ve admired in a media that has become a freaking cesspool.

She was in the news last week because at the White House Correspondents Dinner she was targeted by a bully who happens to be a convicted sexual predator, and an assumed pedophile, who is also the president because he executed the greatest con in the history of the world.

It was downright embarrassing.

Of course it was below the dignity of the office, but that ship has sailed long ago.

As he spoke, making fun of Collins because she doesn’t smile enough, calling her fake, and being as nasty as one can be, Collins simply sat there.

She didn’t react.

I wondered how she felt in that moment, and a couple of days later, I heard her saying that she expected it.

She also said that she basically felt nothing because she knew that what he was saying wasn’t true.

And then she stated that she will continue to ask him tough questions and take his non-answers, and his verbal abuse, without bantering with him because her questions and the response (as useless as it is) is the story.

Collins is a professional through and through and as a matter of respect for her job, and as a signal of self-respect, she won’t react in anger.

Under any other circumstance I would have really appreciated such an answer, but these are wild times.

Mitch McConnell is dead, or as close to dead as he can be, and they’re pretending he’s doing jumping jacks.

Pedo Pig lies about EVERYTHING, and it is passed off as truth.

The economy is in absolute shambles.

They pretend that gas prices are less than $2.00 a gallon, and that affordability is a hoax.

Collins and the other good reporters are fed lies in response to real questions…

…and professionalism forbids them from pressing the issue??????

Someday we will get answers.

It may be too late.

We’ll take the high road straight to hell.
