Buffalo Sports

“No Goal.”

“Wide Right.”

“Music City Miracle.”

“13 Seconds.”

And now this latest heartbreak for the city.

I watched the game, and even though I wasn’t overly emotionally attached, I felt stress as the game moved along because I know how much it means to everyone.

Especially my boys.

I also told anyone that would listen that winning three straight road games to get to the Super Bowl would be difficult, if not impossible.

It’s just physically exhausting to play a game and travel to an away game - six days later - when the other team is coming off a bye.

But I certainly didn’t think the Bills would lose - even when they were down 23-10.

Should have known better…

…this is Buffalo, after all.

And my boys, and every Bills fan I talked to, blamed the refs for the loss.

There were some ugly calls, to be sure.

But, you can’t turn the ball over five times.

And again, the defensive minded coach watched the Broncos take the lead with a minute left.

Every year, this team loses in heartbreaking fashion because they can’t make a stop.

The stud QB cried after the game because he had 2 fumbles and 2 interceptions and missed a couple of throws that would have ended the game.

Still, we need a name for it so we can add it to the list of heartbreaking losses.

“The Pass Interference Game”.

Ah well.

New stadium next year.

Definitely going to win it all next year.

No doubt in anyone’s mind.
