Who Needs the CDC?

The center for disease control seems to be a pretty good idea.

We don’t much pay attention to the work they do because what they do makes us not worry.

The fact that their leaders are quitting, or are lost as to what direction the center should take seems disconcerting.

I’m thankful that I had the polio vaccine.

Thought about that every day as I worked with a man, who was about a decade older than me, who had polio as a child.

Measles were virtually gone…

…they’re back in some corners of the country because it’s now cool to be against vaccines.

RFK Jr. seems like a downright lunatic - to me - but I had a conversation with someone who mentioned that maybe he was right about autism being caused by vaccines.

This is where we seem to be a little lost.

Since the rise of social media we now have everyone on equal footing intellectually.

A guy who wins a Nobel Prize can have a long drawn-out debate with Jethro from Kentucky who failed Earth Science three times.

“I’ve done my own research!” You will often hear some conspiracy nut write in all caps.

Who knows, right?

Why should any of us be listening to a college educated scientist when we could just fall in line with Becky from Idaho Falls who, after dropping out of school in 9th grade, has had terrific results with aroma-therapy?

We used to listen to brilliant, well-respected scholars.

Now, we all do our own research, and we bash anyone who has a different opinion.

“I wonder if all those people who got the COVID vaccine feel stupid because those of us who didn’t get it never got sick and died!”

That was a quote from a genius on Facebook.

He fails to realize that those who DID die because they didn’t get the vaccination aren’t here to argue the point.

The Covid vaccine conspiracies are my favorite ones.

Any time someone dies these days there will be someone in the comment section who will say:

“I bet he got the jab!”

I don’t know all that much about those who were in charge at the CDC, but man, it makes me nervous that they’ve all decided to pack it in.

Have you seen RFK Jr?

If that’s the picture of health we are aspiring to…

…well, we might have a problem.
