Back At It

This is purgatory.

A halfway sort of thing that leaves me wandering around wondering what to do.

The dog and cat are out of the usual routine too, so they’re wandering around with me, asking:

“What’s up, dude?”

I don’t know what’s up!

On New Year’s Eve I tried a few jobs - one was open. Guys standing around doing zip.

Called a buddy and we met for coffee.

Sat there for a long while. He couldn’t figure out why he’d gone in either.

Then another day off, and here we are at Friday?

“You working tomorrow?” Kathy asked.

“Of course.”

“Is there anything going on?” She asked.

“Not really.”

“Then why?”

She doesn’t get routine.

So, me, the cat and the dog went through our morning rituals and I headed out into the cold.

I’m hoping there are a few jobs going.

Two more days off coming up!
