Just One Lie After Another

I certainly can’t listen to the Republican candidate for president speak, but I can read the recap of his rallies.

1). Migrants are stealing the black jobs.

What does that mean? What’s a black job? It’s so disgraceful. 

2). Immigrants are running rampant with AK-47’s.

First, how is this Kamala Harris’ fault? 

She has been the vice-president. 

Secondly, wasn’t there supposed to be a big, beautiful wall?

You know who failed as far as fixing the immigration problem?

Yeah - the guy who promised to fix it and have Mexico pay for it.

3). Kamala is stupid.

This has been said at nearly every rally for a month now. 

That sounds like something running for 4th grade president might say about his opponent, and it’s certainly not even remotely true.

Harris was a prosecutor in California, not a game show host. Stupid is bankrupting a casino.

4). Windmills cause cancer.

I don’t even know where someone might come up with that.

5). Hannibal Lector is not a friend of his.

He brings this one up from time to time, Hannibal Lector was a fictional character in a serial killer movie.

6). Michigan Man of the Year

There is no record of Michigan ever declaring him as their man of the year.

He repeats that lie every time he’s in Michigan.

7). The 2020 election was stolen from him.

He got a lot less votes. Wasn’t even remotely close. The election that was actually stolen was 2016 when he also got less votes.

8). Putin is a good guy.

The Republican base seems to believe that the Russian dictator has their back.

Putin has one desire - to destroy America.

He found a stooge.

His stooge conned a whole bunch of Americans.

9). Doctors are murdering babies 

This is the one that is truly disgusting. His abortion lie is so disgusting as he repeats that mothers and doctors - after the baby is born - are deciding if they want to keep the child.

Disgusting.

10). His beach body is amazing.

This was a new one - brought it up on Saturday - pretending that he is running to save America when he could be relaxing on a beach instead.

He’s running to stay out of jail and to steal as much money as he can.

If anyone believes any of his crap…

…well, he’s not the problem.

Those who believe it are.

Mom & Ollie

 Ollie Stadium is a mess. The heavy rains rendered the backyard a mud pit and even though we threw in the side yard, the Big O was looking for more, and we were both covered in mud. I had to take some steam out of him somehow so I suggested we go visit Grandma. Ollie hates the car, but he laid quietly as we made the trip. We even brought the football because there is plenty of room to play at Grandma’s. Mom opened the door and started laughing. I thought about the love she had for every single dog we ever had. Oliver was quick to give my Mom a kiss, and then he stood beside her. The love between Mom and Dogs is a mutual bond. Through the years, Mom would make breakfast for the dogs.  Fried eggs, toast, bacon… She would wrap Christmas gifts for them. “To Jeter, Love Santa,” she would write on the cards. They played with the big chicken that made a lot of noise. Mom tossed the football and Ollie brought it back to her. As the visit drew to a close I headed for the door.  “C’mon, Oliver,”

Eyes on the Horizon

My sister’s book is out there! Go get it!! It makes me so proud to see the book on Amazon, knowing that it’s very, very great! It’s been a long, long time since we were out in California, brainstorming my stories long before they were published. Carrie Lynn was writing, writing and writing some more through the years and I kept telling her… …”Go for it!” Well, she did!  To amazing results. Of course I was able to read the book as it was being put together, but I ordered a copy from Amazon yesterday and can’t wait to read it again. The shoe is on the other foot now as I have been sitting on a lot of my writing lately. I plan on getting it out there before the end of 2024, but for now: Carrie takes center stage! And it’s so great… …go get a copy!
