Wedding Preparations

It’s been a little quieter than I thought, but Matt and his bride have handled all the wedding challenges and we’ve had little to say about it…

…I think.

At least I have been quiet about it.

I went for my tux a couple of weeks back.

“What is the venue?” The guy asked me.

“I don’t know.”

“Okay, what’s the date?”

“End of May,” I said.

The man laughed.

“This is your kid’s wedding?”

“Yeah.”

“How about this, do you know his name?”

I laughed.

“Ah, there you are,” he said. “Your boys Jake & Sam have already been fitted. I have a comment here. They say that you’re paying for all of the rentals.”

This time, I laughed.

“Bastards.”

Of course, I chipped in a little and Matt and Alicia were appreciative but I mentioned to him that his time was right now!

“She’s great,” Matt said.

“Yeah, remember that when you think about whether or not you can get away with strangling her and finding a country without extradition.”

He laughed.

“You’re talking about Mom!” He said.

“I’m joking about Mom,” I corrected. “Keep your sense of humor. You’re gonna’ need it. Now get to work on baby Clifford.”

More laughter.

Should be a good weekend for that.
